Okay, here’s my personal journey on how I finally got my Umbreon in Pokemon Go. It wasn’t as straightforward as I initially thought!
So, I’ve been on this quest to complete my Eevee evolution collection in Pokemon Go, and Umbreon was one of the last ones I needed. I knew it had something to do with walking Eevee as your buddy, but the details were kinda fuzzy.
My First (Failed) Attempts
First, I just tried walking an Eevee. I thought, “Hey, maybe if I walk it enough, it’ll just magically turn into an Umbreon!” Nope. I ended up with a Flareon, which, don’t get me wrong, is cool, but not what I was going for. Then, I thought maybe walking at night would do the trick. Still no luck! Another random evolution.
Figuring Out the Trick
I finally caved and did some digging online. Turns out, there’s a specific process. Here’s the key steps I learned:
- Make Eevee Your Buddy: This was my first step, making sure I had the right Eevee selected as my buddy.
- Walk 10km: You gotta walk that Eevee for a full 10 kilometers. And make sure you get, two candies, that seemed very important.
- Earn Two Candies: Keep an eye on the candies! You need to earn two candies while walking your Eevee. This shows you’ve walked far enough.
- Evolve at Night: This is the crucial part. You have to evolve the Eevee while it’s still your buddy and during nighttime in the game.
The Successful Evolution!
I followed those steps, double-checking everything. I made extra sure it was nighttime in the game, my Eevee was still my buddy, and I had definitely walked over 10km and gotten those two candies. Then, I hit that evolve button… and boom! Finally, my very own Umbreon! It was such a relief after those earlier failed tries.
