Alright, guys, so I’ve been messing around with this NFL Pick’em thing for a while now, and Week 3 just rolled around. I gotta say, it’s been a wild ride so far, with a bunch of upsets last week that totally messed up my picks. But hey, that’s the fun of it, right?
So, this week, I started by looking at the matchups. Man, there are some heavy favorites this time around. We’re talking about eight teams favored by at least a touchdown! That’s crazy. Naturally, I spent a good chunk of time figuring out how to rank those big dogs. It’s not as easy as it looks, you know? You gotta think about who’s playing at home, who’s on a hot streak, and all that jazz.
Diving into the Underdogs
After that, I turned my attention to the underdogs. Last week’s underdogs are this week’s favorites in some cases, which makes things even more interesting. I dug through a ton of stats, looking at past performances, injuries, and whatnot. It’s like being a detective, trying to find those hidden gems that could pull off a surprise win.
Making the Picks
- I spent hours going back and forth, changing my picks, and second-guessing myself.
- Finally, I locked in my picks for each game. It’s a mix of favorites and underdogs, trying to find that sweet spot of predictability and potential upsets.
- I also decided to join a confidence pool this week. Basically, you rank your picks based on how confident you are in each one. It adds another layer of strategy, which I’m all about.
Once I had all my picks set, I entered them into a couple of different pools. I’m in one with my buddies from college, and another one with some folks from work. It’s always fun to see how I stack up against them.
The Waiting Game
Now comes the hard part: waiting. The games start on Thursday, and I’m already itching to see how my picks play out. I’ll be glued to the TV all weekend, no doubt. Fingers crossed that I made some good choices and maybe, just maybe, I’ll actually win something this time around!
So yeah, that’s my Week 3 NFL Pick’em adventure so far. It’s a lot of work, but it’s also a ton of fun. And who knows, maybe this will be my lucky week!
