Alright, let’s talk about Trials this week. Like clockwork, Friday rolls around, and the first thing on my mind after settling in is figuring out what Saint-14 is offering up for those brave enough, or maybe foolish enough, to step into the Trials of Osiris.

My Weekend Ritual Kicks Off
So, the usual routine started. Fired up the console, logged into Destiny 2. The Tower is always buzzing on Friday evenings, you know? My first stop isn’t always Saint-14 himself, gotta be honest. Sometimes I check what my clanmates are saying first, see if anyone’s already done the grind and knows the scoop. Saves me a bit of loading time, haha.
This week, though, nobody in my group had the info yet. Everyone was busy finishing up other stuff. So, off I went, flying into the Tower Hangar. Walked up to good ol’ Saint. You gotta see what he’s got directly, right? Checked his inventory screen.
Discovering This Week’s Loot
And there it was. This week, the weapon dropping for hitting those wins, the main attraction, seemed to be The Messenger pulse rifle. Okay, not bad, not bad at all. It’s been around, sure, but a good roll on that thing? Still nasty in the Crucible.
My first thought was, “Hmm, do I really need another Messenger?” I’ve got a decent one stored away somewhere in the vault, probably collecting dust. But then you remember, the perfect roll might drop. The god roll. That little bit of hope always gets you, doesn’t it?
Diving In (or Trying To)
Decided, “Yeah, okay, let’s give it a shot.” Rounded up a couple of friends who were also curious. Getting a fireteam together took a bit, always does. Someone’s finishing dinner, someone’s walking the dog, you know how it is.

Once we were grouped up, we grabbed our passages from Saint. Went for the Passage of Mercy, always. Gives you that little bit of breathing room if you stumble.
Then, we launched into the playlist. The first few matches… well, let’s just say they were rough. Really rough. Seemed like we were running into sweats right out of the gate. Communication got a little tense, not gonna lie. We adjusted our loadouts, tried different strategies. Switched who was holding what lane.
- Match 1: Total blowout. Ouch.
- Match 2: A bit closer, but still a loss.
- Match 3: Finally! A win. Felt good. Broke the ice.
We managed to string a few wins together after that initial struggle. Got enough wins to actually snag one The Messenger drop. It wasn’t the god roll I dreamed of, of course. Never is on the first try, right? Got something usable, though. Decent perks, but not perfect.
The Takeaway
We didn’t go flawless this time around, reset our card after a couple more tough losses. But hey, I walked away with a new Messenger to play around with. Maybe I’ll use it, maybe it joins the others in the vault. The experience itself, playing with friends, the highs of a win and the lows of getting stomped, that’s kind of the point too, isn’t it?
So yeah, that was my Trials weapon adventure for this week. Got the pulse rifle, had some intense games. Worth it? Yeah, I think so. Even if my dream roll didn’t drop, the chase is part of the fun. If you’re thinking about jumping in, grab some buddies, grab a Mercy passage, and just see what happens. Good luck out there.
