Alright, so the other day I was battling it out in Pokémon, and I kept getting zapped by these Electric-type Pokémon. It was super annoying! I knew I needed a solid counter, so I started digging around to figure out what beats an Electric-type Pokémon.

My Research Process Begins
First, I jumped onto some forums and fan sites. I figured, who better to ask than a bunch of dedicated players? I read through a bunch of threads, and a pattern started to emerge.
- Everyone kept saying the same thing: Ground, Ground, Ground!
It turns out that Ground-type moves are “super effective” against Electric-types. Like, they do double damage! I kinda knew this already, but I hadn’t really put it into practice before.
Time to Test Things Out
So, I grabbed my trusty team and started experimenting. I made sure to include a strong Ground-type Pokémon.I didn’t have anything fancy, so I added a sturdy-looking Graveler that was available in my current zone.
Putting It All Together
I queued up for a few battles, and wouldn’t you know it – it worked! The Graveler with only one “Earthquake” move and no other skills, I found that, I switched to the Graveler, used “Earthquake,” and BAM! – those Electric-types went down fast.
It was like night and day compared to my previous struggles.

The conclusion
The takeaway here is simple: if you’re struggling against Electric-type Pokémon, get yourself a solid Ground-type and start using those Ground-type moves. You don’t need anything super rare or powerful, even a basic Ground-type can make a huge * me, your win rate will thank you!
