So, the other day I was scrolling through some comments on a video, and I kept seeing “WYTM” pop up. I was like, “Okay, what the heck does that mean?” I’m usually pretty good with internet slang, but this one had me stumped.

My first move? Straight to Google. I typed in “WYTM meaning” and, well, the results were kind of all over the place. Some places said it was one thing, others something completely different. It wasn’t giving me a solid answer, which, you know, is super annoying.
I started digging a little deeper. I figured, “Okay, context is key, right?” So I went back to those comments where I originally saw “WYTM”. I started reading them more carefully, trying to figure out how people were using it. Was it a question? A statement? An exclamation of surprise? It sounds like an abbreviation.
After observing for a while, my guess is that it’s being used in a few different ways. It is such a brain teaser. It got me very engaged.
- I found “What you tell me”.
- And I found “What you think man”.
I finally put the pieces together!
WYTM can be used in all kinds of situations. Someone might say, “WYTM about the new phone?” Another person might use it like, “He asked me how I am? WYTM I’m tired!”. It’s super versatile, which is probably why it was so confusing at first!
