Today, I wanted to mess around with something called “pitor”. I had heard about it from a friend, and it sounded interesting, so I decided to give it a shot.
Getting Started
First things first, I needed to actually find this “pitor” thing. I did a quick search and found some basic information. It seemed like a command-line tool, so I figured I’d need to install it somehow.
The instructions I found were pretty simple. It involved using a package manager, I think it was called pip. so the installation on my computer looked something like this.
I opened up my terminal, and typed in:
pip install pitor
I hit enter, and watched a bunch of text scroll by. Seemed like it was working! After a minute or two, it finished without any errors. Cool!
Trying it Out
Now that I had it installed, I wanted to see what it could do. I looked at the help information to get an idea of the commands.
I typed:
pitor --help
…into the terminal and hit enter again. A list of commands and options popped up. It was a little overwhelming, but I found a few basic ones that looked like a good starting point.
My First Commands
I decided to try a simple command. From what I could gather, pitor seemed to be about manipulating,So I figured there must be a command for showing all of them.
I guessed and typed this:
pitor list
And pressed enter, I was able to view the list I was hoping for!
Experimenting Further
Feeling a bit more confident, I started playing around with other commands. I won’t bore you with every single thing I tried, but I did manage to achieve the main manipulation, and It was pretty rewarding to see it working.
I definitely need to spend more time with pitor to really understand its full potential. But even this little bit of experimenting was fun and gave me a taste of what’s possible.
Wrapping Up
So, that was my little adventure with pitor today. It was a good reminder that sometimes it’s fun to just try things out, even if you don’t fully know what you’re doing. I might not be a pitor expert now, but I definitely learned something new, and that’s always a win!
