Alright, so I’ve been diving deep into world history lately, and man, the bubonic plague, AKA the Black Death, is some seriously heavy stuff. I wanted to really nail down the basics for my own understanding (and maybe for a future project, who knows!), so I decided to do a little research sprint. Here’s how it went down:

First Step: Get the Gist
First things first, I needed a solid overview. You know, the “what,” “when,” and “where” without getting bogged down in details. I started out simple.
Digging a Little Deeper
Okay, I thought, I have the overview, I get the general * is time to dig a bit deeper.I have questions that need answers.
- What are the origins of the bubonic plague?
- How was the bubonic plague spread?
- What impact did the bubonic plague have on Europe and the rest of the world?
- When did the bubonic plague outbreaks occur?
Time to Connect the Dots
After I had the basic information and a deeper understanding of the questions I had. I was really getting into the nitty-gritty. I wanted to see how this whole plague thing connected to other major events in world history. For this process I decided to look at the timelines.
Wrapping My Head Around It
Okay, phew! That was a lot of information to process. After all that reading and video-watching, I took a break, walked around a bit, and then came back to my notes. I started jotting down key takeaways in my own words, like I was explaining it to a * way helped me remember better, and had a better overal understanding.
It’s crazy to think how one disease could reshape entire societies. This whole research dive really put things into perspective! I’m glad I took the time to really understand the bubonic plague – it’s a dark but super important part of our history.
