Alright, so I finally got around to looking at those Marvel Rivals patch notes from December 10th. Been meaning to check ’em out. Fired up my usual routine this morning, grabbed some coffee, and sat down to see what they changed this time.

First thing I did was just pull up the notes. Sometimes they hide ’em, you know? But found the post pretty quick. Started scrolling through. I usually just scan the big headlines first, see if there’s anything major jumping out.
Hero Changes Section
Then I dove into the hero stuff. That’s always the meat of it for me. Let’s see…
- Iron Man: Saw they fiddled with his unibeam cooldown again. Seems like they’re still trying to find the sweet spot there. Okay, fair enough.
- Storm: Looked like a minor tweak to her lightning strike damage. Nothing too crazy, probably won’t change how I play her much.
- Hulk: They mentioned fixing a bug with his leap slam getting stuck on geometry. Good. That one was annoying as heck. Finally got to that.
- Peni Parker: Bit of a surprise, saw a small nerf to her mech’s shield health. Wasn’t expecting that, thought she was in a decent place. We’ll see how that feels.
Spent a good bit just rereading those parts, trying to picture how it’ll actually feel in a match. Sometimes the notes sound small but make a big difference, you know?
Bug Fixes and Other Stuff
After the heroes, I skimmed the rest. Lots of bug fixes listed. The usual stuff – UI glitches, sound problems, stuff like that. They fixed that weird issue where sometimes the end-of-match screen wouldn’t show scores properly. That’s good, always helps to see the numbers.
Looked for any map changes or new features, but didn’t see much mentioned for this specific patch. Seemed mostly focused on balancing and fixing things that were broken. Which is fine, sometimes you just need those clean-up patches.

Overall thoughts? It feels like a maintenance patch, mostly. Some expected tweaks, one or two small surprises, and a bunch of needed bug fixes. Nothing earth-shattering, but solid improvements. Didn’t see anything about that one map exploit people were talking about, maybe next time?
So yeah, that was my process. Read through it, focused on the hero changes, checked the bug fixes, formed a quick opinion. Now just gotta see how it actually plays out when I jump into a game later. That’s the real test, always.
