Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot about “Dee Margo,” and I figured it was time to dive in and see what all the fuss was about. I’m always up for trying new things, especially if it involves making my life a little easier or more efficient. So, here’s how my little experiment went.

First, I needed to get my hands on it. I did some digging, some good old-fashioned searching, to find some relevant materials to read. I didn’t use much time, just got a rough idea of what I needed to do.
Getting Started
I try to read them one by one. It’s a mess. There are some things that confuse me. It seems that it does not support running some of the old versioned software that I usually use.
So, I decided to create a totally new environment and try again. I’m kind of a “learn by doing” kind of person, so I figured the best way to understand Dee Margo was to just jump in and start playing with it.
The Thick of It
I spent a good chunk of time on the website, just clicking around and seeing what happened. I gotta say, it wasn’t exactly intuitive at first. There were a few moments where I was like, “Wait, what am I supposed to do now?” But I kept at it, and slowly but surely, things started to make sense. This is always very important. If you can’t figure it out quickly, you might give up too quickly, and that is a bad habit.
I started trying out some of the basic features, you know, the stuff that you’d use on a day-to-day basis. I messed around with editing some old project and tried to add some new features. That’s where I hit a few snags. Some things worked like a charm, others… not so much. It felt like a bit of a rollercoaster, to be honest.

- The Good:One advantage is its speed.
- The Bad:It took me a while to get a good feel.
- The Ugly:I did run into a couple of situations.
Wrapping Up
So, after a few hours of tinkering, did I become a Dee Margo master? Nope, not even close. But did I get a better feel for what it is and what it can do? Definitely. I can see the potential, I really can. It’s not perfect, and it’s definitely got a learning curve, but I think with a little more time and practice, it could become a really useful tool.
I’m not ready to throw all my other tools in the trash just yet, but I’m definitely going to keep Dee Margo in my toolbox. I’m curious to see how it evolves and if I can get even better at using it. Maybe I’ll even share another update down the road. Who knows? This is all a part of learning.
