My Hunt for That Paul George Indiana Jersey
Okay, so I’ve been on a bit of a nostalgia kick lately. Got me thinking about basketball back in the day, specifically Paul George’s time with the Pacers. Man, those were some intense games. Watching him develop into a star there was something else. That got the gears turning, and I thought, you know what? I need one of those classic gold or navy pinstripe jerseys. Specifically, a Paul George one.
So, the search began. Didn’t really know where to start, honestly. It’s not like they’re hanging in every sports store these days. First thing I did was hop online. Typed in “Paul George Indiana Pacers jersey” and braced myself.
Wow, tons of results, but it was a real mixed bag. You got the brand new “throwback” styles from the official league stores, which are fine, but sometimes they feel a bit… I don’t know, too clean? Too perfect? Then you have the resale sites. That’s where things got interesting. You see everything from beat-up old ones people wore to games, to stuff that looks practically new but costs an arm and a leg.
I spent a good few evenings just scrolling, comparing. Some looked kinda sketchy, you know? Bad photos, descriptions that didn’t quite add up. Didn’t want to end up with some cheap knock-off. I was really looking for that specific feel, the Adidas ones they wore back then, maybe? Or the later Nike switch versions?
Things I was looking out for:

- Decent condition, obviously. A bit of wear is okay, adds character, but not falling apart.
- A reasonable price. Some sellers were asking crazy money.
After maybe a week of looking around, filtering through listings, I found one. It was a navy pinstripe, number 13 (had to be 13, right?). Seller had good ratings, clear pictures. Showed the stitching, the jock tag, everything looked legit. It wasn’t dirt cheap, but it felt fair for what it was – seemed like it was barely worn.
Pulled the trigger. Felt a bit weird spending that much on a jersey I probably won’t wear that often, but hey, it felt right. Then came the waiting game, checking the tracking number like a hawk.
When the package finally arrived, I gotta say, I was pretty excited. Opened it up right away. And yeah, it was good. The quality felt solid, the pinstripes looked sharp, the numbers and “GEORGE” on the back were properly stitched on. Holding it up, it just brought back memories of watching those playoff battles. Felt pretty satisfying after all that digging online.
It’s hanging up now. Sometimes I just look at it, reminds me of that era of Pacers basketball. Good times. Finding that specific jersey, going through the search, it was kinda fun in its own way. Glad I decided to track one down.
