Alright, let me walk you through what I did today.

My Dive into Mortal Kombat’s Female Fighters
So, I had some time on my hands and decided to revisit something from the gaming world. Mortal Kombat popped into my head. It’s been a while, and instead of just playing random matches, I thought I’d do something specific. I decided to just focus on the female characters for a bit. You know, just browse through them, see who I remembered, maybe check out some I didn’t know as well.
First thing I did was boot up one of the games I have installed. Didn’t really matter which one, just needed access to a roster. I navigated straight to the character select screen. That’s where I spent most of my time, honestly.
I started scrolling through the lineup. Of course, some faces jumped out immediately.
Sonya Blade – she’s like, the original, right? Been there since the start. Always the tough, no-nonsense military type. Remembered her basic look from the early days.
Then I spent some time looking at the ninjas:

- Kitana: Blue outfit, steel fans. Always thought she had a cool design.
- Mileena: The purple one, Kitana’s ‘sister’. Obviously, the big teeth thing is what everyone remembers. Definitely stands out.
- Jade: Kitana’s friend, the green ninja. Remember her using that staff.
I kept clicking through. Sindel showed up. The queen with the crazy long hair she uses to fight. Wild concept back then, still kind of is.
Saw some of the characters from the newer generation too. Cassie Cage – Johnny Cage and Sonya’s daughter. It’s kinda interesting seeing that family connection play out in the roster.
I also glanced over characters like Skarlet, the blood magic user, and D’Vorah, the insect lady. Didn’t play them much back when, but just took a moment to look at their designs again. Pretty different from the classic ninjas and soldiers.
Sheeva, the Shokan warrior with four arms, also caught my eye. A very distinct silhouette on the character select screen.
It wasn’t really about deep diving into their moves or stories today. It was more like flipping through a photo album or a catalogue. Just seeing the collection, the variety in the female fighters the series has brought in over the years. Some very iconic, some more recent additions.

So yeah, that was basically it. Just a casual browse, focusing on that specific part of the MK universe. Felt like a decent way to spend a bit of time, just refreshing my memory on who’s who in the world of Mortal Kombat’s women warriors. Simple session, but sometimes that’s all you need.
