So, I had some time on my hands and decided to revisit something from the gaming world. Mortal Kombat popped into my head. First thing I did was boot up one of the games I have installed. Didn’t really matter which one, just needed access to a roster. I navigated straight to the character select screen. That’s where I spent most of my time, honestly.
I started scrolling through the lineup. Of course, some faces jumped out immediately.

I also glanced over characters like Skarlet, the blood magic user, and D’Vorah, the insect lady. Didn’t play them much back when, but just took a moment to look at their designs again. Pretty different from the classic ninjas and soldiers.
Sheeva, the Shokan warrior with four arms, also caught my eye. A very distinct silhouette on the character select screen.
It wasn’t really about deep diving into their moves or stories today. It was more like flipping through a photo album or a catalogue. Just seeing the collection, the variety in the female fighters the series has brought in over the years. Some very iconic, some more recent additions.
