Okay, so, today I decided to dive into the new patch notes for WoW Season of Discovery. Just like a lot of you, I’ve been waiting to see what this new phase three is all about. First thing I did this morning was fire up my computer and check the official website for the patch notes. Yep, they were there, as expected.

After I quickly glanced over the notes, I realized there’s a lot of stuff packed into this update. The level cap got bumped up to 50, which is a big deal. We can earn up to 10 more talent points. That’s gonna change up how we build our characters a lot. So I immediately started planning out some new talent builds in my head while still going through the notes. I’ve decided to level up some alts.
Next, I saw there’s a new outdoor zone. Sounds mysterious, right? I hopped into the game to check it out. Spent a good chunk of the afternoon exploring this new area, and let me tell you, it’s pretty wild. There are new items and rewards. I managed to snag a few cool items for myself and even some stuff for my alternate characters.
- Level cap raised to 50: More talent points to play with.
- New outdoor zone: Explored and found some neat rewards.
- New rune slots: I gotta figure out the best combos now.
- New world events: I participated in a couple, it is pretty fun.
They also mentioned new rune slots and some old runes becoming baseline abilities. I spent some time messing around with these changes. It’s gonna take a while to figure out the best setups, but it’s cool to see some abilities become baseline. Makes things interesting.
There was also a mention of new world events. I jumped into a couple of them, and they’re pretty fun. It’s nice to have some dynamic events to mix things up. The rewards are decent, too, so that’s a plus.
After messing around with all the new stuff, I started to think about the raids and dungeons. With the launch of Zul’Gurub, there are new versions of the Zandalari enchants. I haven’t tried them yet, but they look promising. I’m gonna have to run some dungeons tonight to gear up and try out these new enchants.

What I focused on today
- Checked out the new outdoor zone.
- Experimented with the new talent points and rune slots.
- Participated in the new world events.
Overall, it’s been a busy day diving into the new SoD Phase 3 update. There’s a lot to unpack here, and I’ve only scratched the surface. I’m excited to see how these changes will shake things up in the game. Time to grind some dungeons and get ready for the new raid!
