Why I Wanted To Recreate That Wrestlemania 30 Logo
So I was scrolling through old wrestling clips last week, right? That XXX Wrestlemania 30 logo kept popping up everywhere. It looked so damn cool – those jagged letters all angry and electric. Figured why not try making my own version from scratch?

My Messy Starting Point
First I grabbed some paper and just started scribbling XXX shapes. Made the letters super thick and blocky. Wanted them to look like they could punch through walls. Kept tearing up sketch paper cause my lines were too wobbly. Seriously wasted half my notebook before getting one decent outline.
Then came the tricky part: those sharp broken edges on the letters. I tried chopping corners off with my ruler but it looked too clean. So I freehanded the damage – made some chunks missing like the letters survived a street fight. Got pencil smudges everywhere but finally had something that looked battle-scarred.
Going Digital With Colors
Took a photo of my messy sketch and threw it into a drawing app. Started playing with colors:
- First attempt: Bright red background. Looked like a pizza restaurant sign
- Second try: Blue letters with yellow outline. Reminded me of Superman merch
- Third round: Went back to the classic purple-to-blue gradient – THAT clicked
Added little lightning cracks between the letters. Messed up the spacing three times – kept making the bolts too thin so they disappeared when shrunk down. Had to zoom way in to fix those details.
Final Touches That Almost Broke Me
That shiny metallic effect? Total nightmare. The highlights looked like weird white blobs at first. Took me hours to get those curved glares just right on the XXX curves. Then dropped a thick black outline around everything to make it pop – felt like putting armor on the letters.

When I finally stepped back? Damn. Seeing those digital letters look just as mean as my pencil sketch? Best feeling ever. Way cooler than I expected it to turn out. Yeah the process was frustrating as hell but man, that final logo was worth every minute.
